This month we are pleased to welcome a familiar face back to SRL.

Karl Darwin worked with us for more than 6 years progressing from operative to regional manager, before leaving to work at a traffic management company in April 2020. He has now returned to SRL as Business Development Manager.

In his new, nation-wide role Karl will be responsible for managing and developing SRL’s relationships with existing customers, identifying new accounts, liaising between customers and technical teams, promoting SRL’s new products and services, attending trade shows and overseeing contract renewals.  

His detailed knowledge of SRL’s offering - combined with the customer perspective he gained while working for a traffic management company - mean Karl is well positioned to understand the challenges and opportunities facing our customers and how best we can support them and help take their business’s forward.

Karl explains why he is so excited to return to the team:

‘I’m really happy to be back as part of the SRL team – I missed the environment and the people but the time I spent effectively as a customer has given me some invaluable insights which I’ll take into my new role.

Being a BDM will enable me to spend time listening to customers and being proactive on their behalf. It helps to know that SRL has some fantastic new products, like the pioneering Multiphase ADS and new Switching Service, that customers want to try. I definitely won’t be short of things to talk about!’

In his spare time Karl likes getting his feet muddy on outdoor adventures with his family.
