Here at SRL we’re in the midst of extremely exciting times with the significant expansion into the high speed variable message signs (VMS) market as well as the launch of our new ITS depot in Romford, now our largest depot in the UK.

Now with 30 depots throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland and a significant scale-up in our levels of distribution, we identified the need to also increase and enhance our efficiency, to ensure that we continue to deliver signage to our customers on time, every time.

To support our expansion we enlisted the help of LCVT, specialists in the design and manufacture of light commercial vehicle bodies, and tasked them to design a vehicle which could deliver both our larger high speed VMS and our smaller Smart Messenger units quickly and safely to site.

Known for their engineering and commercial body building expertise, LCVT responded to our request with a custom-made solution. The result; a bespoke 3,500kg transporter, developed using LCVT’s proven chassis conversion, which is capable of transporting multiple SRL VMS and Smart Messengers safely and quickly.

The custom made transporters also have a number of innovative features to provide ease of use and safety, such as exceptional grip when loading and unloading and shallower load angles.
