High-impact variable message signs (VMS) alert drivers to speed limits and roadworks, allowing them to slow down or prepare to switch lane at a safe distance, extra vigilant of the presence of roadworkers undertaking some of the most dangerous jobs in construction.
Manufactured by SWARCO, our VMS are designed specifically for the UK and RoI market, meeting and exceeding all domestic regulations. They are CE certified to EN12966 and approved to TOPAS TR2516C standards; trailers are UK Type approved.
Our traffic and pedestrian signals keep vehicles moving efficiently around roadworks, minimising congestion and the noise and pollution caused by standing traffic, while pedestrians can safely navigate temporary crossings. Intelligent signals incorporate Multiphase ADS, the first multiphase adaptive detection system independently proven to reduce queue lengths by 50%.
The Urban64 traffic signal system features Urban Traffic Management Control (UTMC) connectivity and coordinates multi-directional flows of vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. It is the only temporary traffic light solution to feature the same microprocessor optimised vehicle actuation (MOVA) technology as permanent systems.
Our Portable UTMC device allows local authorities to remotely control temporary systems, facilitating seamless integration with the wider urban ITS network.
Our solutions – which also include CCTV, work-zone protection barriers, ANPR and remotely operated stop/go signs – can be easily installed and repositioned, so layouts can be quickly adapted as works progress.
