Regional Supervisor, SolihullBristol

The Primary role of a Regional Supervisor is to liaise with the Regional Manager and the Depot Supervisors across the region to ensure the smooth running of the region, to help, support, and mentor the teams, and to meet objectives and targets set by the Regional Manager.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure that all works conducted within our depots are undertaken with full regard for the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and our clients.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Supporting a don’t walk by culture by reporting near misses, to prevent these instances from developing.
  • Read, sign, and comply with all company toolbox talks, risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.

Daily:

  • Monitor Daily stock-taking of all equipment in the region is kept up to date by Supervisors.
  • Assist Supervisors in allocating equipment for future hires.
  • Monitor the FSGB app to ensure daily checks have been completed and chase non-compliant Supervisors to chase Operators.
  • Monitor any Supervisor sickness/absence/lateness
  • Monitor holiday requests from Supervisors, making sure cover is provided.
  • Assist Supervisors in arranging equipment repairs

Weekly:

  • Assist Admin with obtaining weekly timesheets from Supervisors.
  • Monitor Supervisors submitting weekly checks on time.
  • Assist Supervisors with Recruitment GDPR training is required
  • Complete site audits.
  • Complete depot visit forms.

Monthly:

  • Monitor depot compliance calendars.
  • Assist training managers with staff training requirements.
  • Customer sighting reporting.
  • Monitor Monthly stock checks and ensure Supervisors are submitting before the deadline.
  • Review and approve/decline spares requests/SMI orders/Commercial orders.

People:

As a Regional Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting your teams and making sure you present yourself smartly and professionally for the team to follow.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in the management of depots or stores.
  • The ability to prioritise their own and the activities of others.
  • The ability to switch between tasks/projects.
  • The ability to effectively influence onsite work activities.
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • IT Literacy especially in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Full driving license No more than 6 points (Mandatory)

Desirable Experience:

  • Basic electrical safety / Battery charging.
  • Worked within a Highways environment.
  • A basic knowledge of traffic light equipment
  • CSCS cardholder
  • Competent in driving a company van and pickups up to 3.5 Ton in size.
  • Competent in the towing of a trailer with plant equipment loaded.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics
  • City and Guilds, qualification or equivalent in highway installations
  • Sector 8 Accreditation, Health, and Safety qualifications, including NRSWA, G39, and
    ECS)

You must have the right to work in the UK and have no more than 6 points (preferably clean / no bans in the past).
